Anne Frank's story

Anne Frank was born the 12 of July of 1929 in the city of Frankfurt. Daughter of Otto Heinrich Frank and Edith Hollander. She also got a sister, named Margot.
The story began the day of her birthday in 1942 when she was 13 years old. Her parents gave her a present, it was a diary. The same day Anne began to write her feelings and her thoughts. She named the diary Kitty.

On November of 1942 Anne and her family hid in a backfront house with some friends. It was the 2nd World War where all the Jewish were persecuted. That's why they decided to hid there. Their life there was difficult, they musn't make noise or switch on lights in the night.

Meanwhile this was happening, Anne wrote it all in the diary everyday.

The 1st of August of 1944 they were discovered by the militaries and they took them in a concentration camp, in  Bergen-Belsen.

Margot, Anne's sister, died of typhus. After Margot death, in early March, Anne died.

Otto, the father of Anne, found the diary and he began to publish it.

By this way Anne's Frank diary is nowadays the most important book of the Holocaust topic and it has been tranduced to different languages: English, Catalan, Castilian, French, Dutch...
