The Imperialism

The Imperialism is a period of time where the major European power started to conquer the major part of Africa and Asia to make themselves powerful.

They organized the territories in different types of colonies:

• Exploitation colonies: This were the colonies where the colonizers obtained the raw material to import to the mother country.

• Population colonies: The European went to live in this colonies to prove their quality of life.

• Protected colonies: This were the colonies that maintained their govern and their political organization.

But in all of them the metropolis administration led the local govern.

The European powers had problems between them because of the territories.

These conflicts ended up with the First World War, that confronted the major part of the European countries.

The First World War had two opposing alliances:

1. The Triple Entente: France, Great Britain and Russia.

2. The Central Forces: Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy.
