PLAYSTATION

Playstation is a brand of video consoles product by Sony Company.
Playstation was born in China at the 1990, since 1994  playstation has traded its products for all the world.

The most famous products are Playstation video consoles, are Play 1 (1994), Play 2 (2001), Play 3 (2006) and the portable console, PSP (2005).
But Sony has traded other products, for example TV's, computers, neetbook's, video games with association with other companies, like Activision or Softonic.

Now, P.S.3, is the most sold video console in history, with more than 750.000.000 units sold.

Xupa xups

Xupa xups is a kind of sweet made by a stick and a candy. Xupa xups was created by a catalan, and maybe you think it's a simple idea but it works: now his creator is a millionaire and "Xupa Xups" is known all over the world.

They are of many tastes, the most common ones are strawberry or coca-cola but there are others that are more strange like pineapple with yougurt ones.

Johan cruyff made this sweet famous when he triedto stop smoking. By ten he was Barça's coach and as an important manager from a mundial team of football, Xupa Xups was promoted. Through his idea Xupa Xups' Company started a campaign for smoker to stop, they persuaded people buying little xupa xups with little nicotine to help them.

Personally, we love Xupa Xups and we prefer it against normal sweets. You can find them in every shop, unless you can't eat them. ;)

My Italy trip

 This Christmas holidays I went to Italy for two weeks. I went with my family and some friends of our family. We went by plane. We spent three hours inside the plane watching films but you could do whatever you wanted to spend the time, we weren't bored.

When we arrived in Rome first of all we went to the hotel to keep the luggage and start visiting the city. We visited the famous amphitheatre and the amazing Roman circus. Then we rend a car and we went to visit the rest of Rome by car. When it was dark we went to the hotel to sleep. The next days, we went to different cities of Italy. It was fantastic!

We want to repeat it next Christmas holidays.

The Spanish King Cup, Betis - FCBarcelona

Betis played against Barcelona and win for two goals, 3-1. The team from Sevilla scored two goals in seven minutes. It was very boring before Messi scored a beautiful goal after he does agreat playing.

The first half ended with another Betis’ goal.

In the second half there wasn’t good playings. It wasn’t great to see because the football match has already decided.

Even when Barcelona has a good opportunity to change the trajectory of the match, Messi failed a penalty because he slipped. The football match ended in a disappointing way for the Braça’s followers, but for the fans of the Betis it was an important success.

Although Barça didn’t win Betis, It passed to the next round. For this, the fans of Barcelona don’t think about his match as a defeat but a relative win.

The non-smoking law

On 2th January, the new law against tobacco affected all smokers in Spain because it's not allowed to smoke inside bars, pubs, night clubs...

This law has been critisized because two years ago, the Spanish government made a first law allowing all the bars to have a special smoking area. The owners of the bars spent a lot of money on the building works and now, that the law has changed, all the money spent wasn't worth it.

Besides, it is not allowed to smoke in the parks and around the hospitals, but most people think that this part of the law is a little bit stupid.
Our opinion is that a lot of people will have to pay because they won't obey the law.

The Imperialism

The Imperialism is a period of time where the major European power started to conquer the major part of Africa and Asia to make themselves powerful.

They organized the territories in different types of colonies:

• Exploitation colonies: This were the colonies where the colonizers obtained the raw material to import to the mother country.

• Population colonies: The European went to live in this colonies to prove their quality of life.

• Protected colonies: This were the colonies that maintained their govern and their political organization.

But in all of them the metropolis administration led the local govern.

The European powers had problems between them because of the territories.

These conflicts ended up with the First World War, that confronted the major part of the European countries.

The First World War had two opposing alliances:

1. The Triple Entente: France, Great Britain and Russia.

2. The Central Forces: Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy.

The Kilo's Campaing

Every year, in our school, "Maristes Montserrat Lleida", we celebrate a dance festival which is called "The Kilo's Campaing". Its purpouse is to collect a lot of food for poor people from our city, Lleida. The students of fourth of ESO, prepare this festival during some days and the rest of ESO and "Batxillerat" have to bring us one or more kilos of food and we give them a ticket to see the festival we have already prepared. 
In the south we usually see some dancings, theatre, songs or comedy shows. This year for example, there were five diferent dancings, one of them was prepared for more than fourty people and it was called "The final song". We also did a catwalk which was the theatre show. Gisela and Rosalia sang a Bon Jovi's song and Gisela sang alone "The final song", called "All I want for Christmas is you".
The global opinion of our festival is that it was really good.

Changeling

In the firts three-months period, in the TV corner we saw a film called Changeling. This film is about a desperated mother who lost  he's son and the police returned her another boy saying that he was her hands to find he's son.

In our opinion it was a good film because it was very interesting and it has unespected final. The arguments is very exiting but some parts of  the film are very boring. The work of the actors and actresses is very good and the main characters of the film: Angelina Jolie. This type of films are very interesting because there are situations that could  happen in the real life.

In conclusion: we have found this film very interesting.

The gold ball

The gold ball is a prize who is given from the most important company of football in France to the best football player of the year. The people who vote the best player of the year is the football correspondent of each country.


This year the three people to appoint are the three players of F.C Barcelona.

Of the three players two are Spanish and one is Argentinean their names are Leo Messi, Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta.

This event is very important, and more because the three players nominated are from the same team. Is the second time in football history that this happens.

We think that the person who will win this prize is Xavi Hernandez, because for us is probably the best midfield of the history of football.

Christmas time

We are on 9th December of 2010, which means we are quite close to Christmas. At Chirstmas time people enjoy their time with their families. They decorate their house whit Christmas trees which is decorated with Christmas balls, stars, Chistmas lights... We also make "the Betlem", which is a cultural tradicion that consists on simulate the Nativity scene. Here, in Catalunya, we have "The Caga Tió" which is a Catalan tradition where the kids beat the trunk, and the trunk gives presents to kids. When we go out, to the street we can see a lot of Christmas lights decorating our city and there are a lot of joy, and we are full of happiness.
We also celebrate, on 6th of January the magic night, "The Three Wise Men" come to our houses to offer presents to children. If the children have been such good children, they get presents and if they've been bad they get coal.

So, the Christmas time is a period of time where we all enjoy and see how children still believe in magic, this fills our hearts of joy.

Fifa World Player

The FIFA World Player is an individual award that the Federation International of Football Association (FIFA) decided to set up in 1991 to recognize the best player in the world every year.
The award is decided with the votes of the captains and coach of the selections.

The forecast for win the Fifa world player this year is:

For masculine player: Xavi Hernàndez, Andrés Iniesta and Lionel Messi.

For feminine player: Marta, Fatmire and Prinz.

For masculine coach: Jose Mourinho, Vicente del Bosque and Josep Guardiola.

For feminine coach: Meinert, Sundhage and Ned.


The award gala is celebrated in Zürich (Switzerland) at 18:15.


For the Masculine award, the three players are of F.C. Barcelona and the three of the “Masia” (is the quarry of F.C. Barcelona).


In this gala is too said the better team of the year (they take the better players of each position for do it). In this award there are 50 players that can have this award (8 of this of F.C Barcelona)

RIHANNA

Rihanna, nowadays is one of the most famous singers. Everybody knows her as  Rihanna but her real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty. She was born on the 20^th February 1988 in St Michael(Barbados) then, she went to the United States at the age of 16. Shortly after, she signed a contract with DefJam Recordings.


In 2005 Rihanna made her first important album called “Music of the sun” with its single “Pon de Replay”. Since then, she made lots of famous songs like: “SOS”, Unfaithful”, “Break it off”, “Umbrella”, “Take a bow”, “Disturbia”, “Don’t stop the music” etc.
Her last famous singles are “Only Girl” and “What’s my name”.

In 2007, he received the “World Music Awards”, in 2008 he received the “American Music Award” and in 2010 he has won two “Grammy Awards”.

This year, only in the United States, Rihanna has sold about 5.563.000 album’s copies and 20 million worldwide.
